SYNOPSIS:

Ireland, 1984: A murdered baby is washed up on a beach. On the same night a young woman gives birth fifty miles away, this baby does not survive the night and is buried on the family farm.

The young woman is Joanne Hayes, a single mother, who is in the throes of a relationship with a married man. In the search for the mother of the baby on the beach, the authorities make a link to Joanne. Despite a lack of evidence she is charged with murder.
